Let's connect your Claude

A small companion app lets Jerbs use Claude on your computer. We'll walk you through setup once; keep the companion open whenever you want to use Claude in Jerbs.

Download Jerbs companion

Open the downloaded ZIP and choose Extract all.
In the extracted folder, double-click Install.cmd. Wait until it says installation is complete.
Open this file in that folder:

Set up the companion on your Windows, Mac or Linux computer first. Sign in to the same Jerbs account there. Once connected, you can use Jerbs from your phone while that computer and its companion stay online.

Need help installing?

The companion needs Python 3.11 or newer with Tk support. If installation reports that Python is missing, install Python, then run the companion installer again.

Get Claude ready

In the companion, choose Check Claude. It will tell you whether Claude Code is installed and signed in.

Claude Code is missing or signed out

Claude Desktop has a separate sign-in. Install Claude Code using the official instructions, then open a terminal and run this command to sign in:

claude auth login

After signing in, choose Check Claude in the companion again. You need a Claude account with access to Claude Code.

Your Claude sign-in stays on your computer. Requests from this Jerbs account run through your own Claude.

Approve in your browser

In the companion, choose Connect to Jerbs. It opens a page where you approve this computer for your account. The connection finishes automatically — no code to copy.

Keep the companion open. If approval expired or opened the wrong account, choose Connect to Jerbs again. Use the staging companion launcher for the staging site.
